Recruiter's suck.

I'm tired of recruiter's viewing me as a money bag.  I find that they will often stretch the truth or down right lie to get you to commit the time and energy for their demands. In fact, they are often quite rude.  I have had recruiters fail to inform me that I was no longer being considered for a position.  To me, it seems the reasonable thing to do is to inform the candidate and let them know why they are no longer being considered.  This would at least allow the candidate to grow from the experience.

Furthermore, most recruiter's know nothing about the position.  They often apply a crude pattern matching on common acronyms to find the "perfect candidate."  How can a recruiter know if someone is a good software engineer if they are not a software engineer themselves?  Alas.  A good recruiter needs to be what they are recruiting. Otherwise, they will do a poor job.

In light of all of my negative experiences when dealing with staffing firms, I think I will create a web application to review and rate staffing agencies from the candidate's view point.
