Shrewd Creative is considering releasing it's Shrewd CGI to the opensource community.  We believe that this will further improve the framework and make it a rich platform for developing high performance web applications.  There are still some features that must be completed before Shrewd CGI is considered "complete."  Once, the current road map is complete, version 1.0 will be released to the public.
